Don't Get Scammed

When it comes to the world of online wig shopping, there is an astounding number of scam websites sprinkled among the reputable ones. 

Red Flags to Look For:

 #1 Easiest way to avoid being Scammed
Call the company! Do they provide you with helpful product advice, or are they just trying to sell you something? Can't find a phone number to call them at? There's a good chance that they could be fraudulent.

#2 Wigs are listed as obscure names instead of names associated with certain brands.
For instance, one scam website used a photo of the Voltage by Raquel Welch but listed it as “Short Curly Layered Feminine Fluffy Wig with Bangs” and made no mention of the actual name or brand. This means that the website is using Raquel Welch’s photos without permission. Most brands require that the companies they partner with list their brand name within the product description.

#3 Websites that boast 100% Remy Human Hair for as low as $15 - $100.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! Always compare prices with other reputable websites if you’re unsure. 

#4 Photos are of celebrities instead of actual product photos or model photos.

#5 No contact information is listed on the website.
If you cannot easily find a way to contact the company via phone and email, then the odds are that it is a scam website! Reputable companies will always be easy to contact.

#6 The website has photoshopped different colors onto the same model photo.
Reputable retailers know that photoshopped color will not give an accurate depiction of what the color will look like. We will never include photos where colors have been photoshopped onto a model.

#7 Photos are blurry or low-quality.

We have received countless calls from customers who have accidentally purchased from fraudulent wig companies, only to receive a cheaply made costume wig. In some cases, they never receive anything at all. Once you have been scammed, fighting the transactions can prove to be difficult, so the best thing to do is to look out for red flags to avoid fraudulent websites altogether!
